“It is usually best
to be generous with praise
and cautious with criticism.”

I think it’s fairly safe to say that we’ve all been criticized by someone for some reason, valid or not, at some point in our lives. I think it’s also fairly safe to say that we’ve all criticized someone else for some reason, valid or not, at some point in our lives. Despite the inevitability of such criticism, most of us don’t like it.
This afternoon, I happened to come upon this brief video in which a teacher, having made an error in a math problem he had written on the classroom board, was immediately criticized and laughed at by students in the class. His response is a powerful message from which we might all benefit.
Here’s the LINK to the video.

who encourages others,
who chooses to see
the good in the world
and speak it out loud.”
